Samurai LED Watch

It isn’t very often that a product comes on the market that literally takes your breath away, but the Samurai LED Watch is such a product! Not only is it aesthetically appealing, but it is also technologically outstanding!

It’s a lava red Japanese inspired LED watch from an alternative future which gives its wearer cool omnipotence by rewriting the rules of how temporal data (time) should be displayed. It may look like the epitome of sophistication and the ultimate in chic fashion, but don’t be fooled – it is actually a quality timepiece!

The Samurai embodies Tokugawan style and Shogunate design with its blood red numerals encased in stark Samurai sword steel resembling the final battle between the forces of good and evil, this Japanese LED watch keeps accurate time.

Tap the top button on the right side of the timepiece and watch the screen light up like surfacing lava. Tap the bottom button to make the numbers blink and hence adjust them. Select ‘Time’ mode and the top row of the display shows the hour, and the bottom row shows the minutes. Select ‘Date’ mode and the top row displays the month while the bottom row displays the day.

It is also extremely easy to operate and to change the date and time settings. An added bonus  is that, because the time and date is only displayed when you want to see it, the single CR2016 watch battery lasts longer than usual.

The colour is difficult to describe which is why we call it camouflage steel. Depending on the ambient light conditions, this watch sometimes looks gun-metal silver while at other times it looks light silver or it can appear almost black or deep onyx. The reason for the Samurai’s elusive countenance is its scratch-resistant electroplated finish. This has resulted in a refractive process which breaks the light which lands on the watch into its component colours and reflects into your eye at different wavelengths.

DAB DIGITAL RADIO

Many people are enjoying the crystal clear reception offered by Digital Audio Broadcasting or DAB radio. It’s the modern way to enjoy your favourite radio stations. DAB digital radio is an improved way of broadcasting radio via a network of terrestrial transmitters.

Traditionally radio programmes were broadcast on different frequencies via FM and AM, and the radio had to be tuned into each frequency. Because this used up a large amount of space for a small number of stations, this system limited choice. DAB is a digital radio broadcasting system that allows audio streams to be broadcast onto a narrow band centred on a single broadcast frequency called a DAB ensemble which means more stations can broadcast over a smaller space. It provides listeners with more choice, clearer sound and more features.

DAB digital radio delivers exceptional sound quality. The technology allows the receiver to hear only the audio from the radio station and to ignore everything else. This eliminates the hiss, crackle and fade associated with analogue radio. Just think – no more interruption to your listening, no more random increasing/decreasing of volume or inaudible crackling when you are trying to listen to your favourite radio programme.

Another bonus with DAB digital radio is that there are no frequencies to remember because the new DAB radios are tuned by selecting station names from a menu.
